NEW TENDENCY AT LDF

At this year's London Design Festival, NEW TENDENCY celebrated 100 years of Bauhaus alongside Tecnolumen at the Aram Store in Covent Garden, London.

A collection of classic designs from the era, now produced by Tecnolumen, were brought together to celebrate the Bauhaus centenary, alongside more contemporary Bauhaus-inspired pieces by Berlin-based brand, New Tendency.

A graduate of the Bauhaus University in Weimar, Manuel Goller is the founder of New Tendency design studio. Together with designer, Sebastian Schönheit the collection is inspired by contemporary sculpture and the production process, with many of the company’s designs evolving from production and construction methods. Natural and recycled materials such as steel are chosen for sustainability.Forms are functional, angular and geometric, reminiscent of those produced at the Bauhaus school in the 1920s and early 30s.
